Drama compares to film because both are meant to tell a story. Both have actors, lights, scripts, but the main difference is the way it’s presented. See, in film you are able to pause and review your lines if you mess up. For drama, it’s mainly performed on a stage in front of a live audience where you cannot miss your cue or forget your lines.
Drama in comparison to poetry is both have some sort of dialogue yet drama is more impersonating someone else and speaking off of a script whereas poetry is more of a verse by verse, personal connection piece! Hope this helps :)
