The basketball players can buy shoes at a cost of s dollars per pair, orange

shoelaces are $3.00 extra. Write and simplify an expression that shows the cost
of 9 pairs of shoes with orange laces and 4 without.

Answer:

9(s+3.00) + 4s

Explanation:

For starters, we s as the basic cost of the shoe. If we buy 4 of those, than it's a simple 4s.

For the other 9 shoes, we have an additional cost of $3. So we will add 3 to s. Since we are buying 9 or those, we will multiple s + 3 by 9. Thus creating the equation above.
