So a rectangle has 2 longer sides and 2 shorter sides.

Knowing the length is 1.5 times the width

and perimeter of 12 centimeters.

The Perimeter is the adding of all the values around a shape. A rectangle has 4 sides so you add up all the sides.

1.5w+1.5w+w+w=12

5w=12

12/5=w

w=2.4

To figure the length just multiply 1.5*2.4=3.6

And That is how you solve it :)
