The answer is E, none of these. This idiom is supposed to mean the odd one of a group or family. Take the runt of a litter for an example, it’s the outcast of all it’s siblings because it was born the smallest out of the rest. For example, Adrian was the black sheep of his family. This means that he was the outcast from the rest of his family.
