How would your hand function differently if your thumb contained a pivot joint? What if it contained a ball and socket joint? Describe 4 consequences of having a different type of joint in the thumb? Thanks

Answer:

1. Your thumb would be much harder to move

2. It would be easier to dislocate our thumbs

3. Since it is a free moving joint, if we tried to grab onto something it could give out on us. (I think that's right)

4. It would have axial rotation

If our thumb contained a ball in the socket joint, then it would be able to move in multiple directions.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope this helps! :)
