Let P(A) = 0.27, P(B) = 0.58, P(A and B) = 0.21

Find the probability that either A or B will occur.
Give answer to the hundredth place. (Example 0.87)

Answer: 0.64

Work Shown:

P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A and B)

P(A or B) = 0.27 + 0.58 - 0.21

P(A or B) = 0.64
