Two species have a relationship with one another in an ecosystem. Suppose one of these two species goes extinct. Which type of relationship did the two have if the surviving species population increases after the other goes extinct?

Answer:

The relationship between the two would either be predator prey or parasite and host more likely then not though I would say it was predator and prey relationship the predatory species going extinct allowing the prey species to grow its population.

It’s competition I think since they were both against each other to gain energy for themselves and it caused the other species to die out so the gaining species can have more.
