3. Three lightbulbs are connected in a series. A switch is placed between the first lightbulb and the second lightbulb. If that

switch is opened, what happens to each of the three lightbulbs?

In series connection the current flow remains constant

  • If switch is placed between first and second lightbulb
  • Then if it's turned on. the three bulbs will be lighted up with same current

the circuit will be open if the switch is opened. therefore no electric current would flow through the series and the lightbulbs wont turn on
