Explanation:

Lets first figure out how much he has done so far

To figure out how much he does we can use a proportion

Set up a proportion for first day

2/7 = x/299.6

Solve the proportion

2×299.6÷7 = 599.2/7 = x

x = 85.6

He covered 85.6 sq/ft on day 1

Find day two

85.6 * 2 = 171.2

Find how much is left to do on day 3

299.6-171.2 = 128.4 ft²
