How do historians explain why

the government of 1989 is still
"enthroned?” (Why are they
willing to "accept this deal with
the devil?") Why do people in
China accept that they have no
political freedom all of these
years later?
The Tiananmen Square

The Chinese regime has not been sympathetic to political freedom.

Step-by-step explanation:

Popular unrest in China was quelled with extreme force during the time of the Tienanmen square and even now the general freedom of the people of the nation is greatly limited.

The logic of the state was that it was providing a lot of unprecedented economic benefits that were unheard of int he time before their regime.

This they were able to do in the 'efficiency' of the rule of autocracy that they would need to continue in the same manner if the nation is to succeed.
