2x² + 17x + 30

Let multiply the coefficient of x² and 30.

2 × 30 = 60

Finding the possible prime factors of 60.

2 × 2 × 3 × 5 = 60

Or we can also write it as

20 × 3 = 60

And we know, 20 + 3 = 17

Hence,

= 2x² + (20+3)x + 30

= 2x² + 20x + 3x + 30

= 2x(x + 10) + 3(x + 10)

= (2x + 3)(x+ 10)

=> x = -3/2 and -10
