Given the functions:

f(x) = 7x + 2
g(x) = -18x + 2
h (x) = –19x – 11

g(-8) means the x in the g(x) function is -8.

So plug in -8 in the x of the g(x) function.

g(-8) = -18(-8) + 2
g(-8)= 144+2
g(-8)= 146
