State the domain and range for the graph of the following function:

y = - 9 * 5^(x + 2)

Answer:

Domain: all real numbers

Range: y < 0

Explanation:

y = -9 × 5^(x + 2)

5^(x + 2) > 0 for all x

-9 × 5^(x + 2) < 0 for all x

The domain is the x value which can be any real number.

The range is the y value , which the range of an exponential function which does not add or subtract anything after the exponent is y < 0

Domain= all real numbers

Range = y < 0
