Haemogoblin then transports oxygen from your lungs to throughout you entire body, maintain our functions. Without Iron, we wouldn't have this.

Another function of Iron is its role in our metabolism. It is a key component of some proteins and enzymes, which you body needs to survive.

However, there must be a balance in the amount of Iron in you body. Too much can be dangerous and too little of it can produce health problems.
