During an exam, Abe impulsively copied several answers from a nearby student's paper. He felt bad about doing this until he convinced himself that copying answers is not wrong if classmates are careless enough to expose their test sheets. Which theory or phenomenon best describes why Abe adopted this new point of view?

Answer:

His urge to get a good grade on the test, caused his brain to be constantly thinking of a good excuse to tell himself that it was okay to copy off of the students papers.

(hope this helps)
