(-x)/(3) +
(2)/(3)

Explanation:

Starting with our equation:

f(x) = -3x + 4 - 2 this is equal to y = -3x +2 (we can call f(x) as y)

To find the invert we swap x for y

y = -3x +2 become x = -3y +2 now we isolate y again!

x - 2 = -3y


(x - 2)/(3) = -y

y =
(-x)/(3) +
(2)/(3) (the inverse function is also called
f(x)^(-1)
