Answer: She would wrap 80 gifts

Step-by-step explanation: Mrs Tellez has a roll of wrapping paper that is 20 yards long. For each gift she wraps she uses up one-quarter of a yard (1/4).

If she were to wrap gifts of the same size as stated, that means every gift will require the same measurement which is 1/4 of a yard. To find out how many gifts of the same size she can wrap before she uses up the entire roll, we solve as follows;

Total gifts = Total measurement/(1/4)

Total gifts = 20/(1/4)

Total gifts = 20 x 4/1

(When dividing with a fraction, the division sign turns into multiplication and the fraction is turned upside down, that is, 1/4 becomes 4/1)

Total gifts = 80

Therefore she can wrap 80 gifts of the same size from the entire roll
