A bird is standing on an electric transmission line carrying

3000 A of current. It is determined that the power dissipated

by the bird is 7.3 X 10-11 w. How many Joules of energy

does the bird dissipate per hour?

Answer:

The answer is 2.628 x 10^-7joules

Explanation:

Power = work done ÷ time

Making work done subject of the formula:

Work done = power dissipated x time

Work done = 7.3 x 10^-11 x 3600seconds

3600 seconds is gotten when you convert one hour to seconds.

Therefore,

Work done = 2.628 x 10^-7joules

Note that the value of the current is extraneous and therefore wasn't used.
