Conductors are materials that permit electrons to flow freely from particle to particle. An object made of conducting material will permit charge to be transferred across the entire surface of the object.
An example of a conductor is - gold, copper, steel, sea water, silver.

An Insulator are any substances that block the flow of electrical or thermal currents.

Example of an insulator - Rubber, glass, oil, diamond & wood.
