In a random sample survey of 75 people at a high school game, 60 people said that they want the home team to win. If there are a total of 600 people at the football game, how many people would you predict want the home team to win,based on the survey.

In order to predict the total number of people, we must make a proportion.

If out of 75 people 60 say yes, then out of 600 people how many would say yes.

Therefore, we have to:

(60/75) * 600 = 480

In other words, 480 people would say yes, keeping the proportion of the random sample that was made before
