a) £ 43.96

A = 2 x 2.2

A = 4.4 m^2

4.4 x 9.99 = 43.956

b) 3.21 m^2

First, find the area of the entire floor.

A = 2 x 2.2 = 4.4 m^2

Then, find the area of the bath.

A = 1.7 x 0.7 = 1.19 m^2

Finally, subtract the area of the bath from the area of the entire floor to find the area that is re-tiled.

4.4 - 1.19 = 3.21

Hope this helps!! :)
