In the coordinate plane, the point X (0, 2) is translated to the point X (3,-3). Under the same translation, the points Y (4, 6) and Z (2, 5) are translated to

Y'and Z', respectively. What are the coordinates of Y' and Z'?

Answer: Y' is (7, 1) and Z' is (5, 0)

Explanation:

x2 - x1 = x translation and y2 - y1 = y translation

3 - 0 = 3 and -3 - 2 = -5

The translation is 3 to the right and 5 down.

4 + 3 = 7 and 6 - 5 (7, 1)

2 +3 = 5 and 5 - 5 (5, 0)
