if you do the elimination method you get:

1. 6x -2y =10 and -2(3x - y = 2 )

2. -6x + 2y =4

6x - 2y = 10

3. subtract the two equations together and you get 0 = -6 which isn't true

Well if you use elimination... -2 would be the answer
