How successful was the United States in containing communism in Korea? Explain your answer. What do you think the United States did right in Korea? What do you think they did wrong? Should they have done something different?

I think that the US was very successful in containing communism in North Korea. I think that the making of the KDZ (Korean Demilitarized Zone) was right but I think that the US were wrong in underestimating the North Korean Army. The war lasted longer than what was needed because the US underestimated their opponent. I think that they should have not underestimated their opponent but on the most part, the US did pretty good.
