x-intercept is when y = 0

0 = 4^x - 64

64 = 4^x

x = 3

(3, 0)

Answer:

The x-intercept is (3,0)

Explanation:

First to find x intercept you need to substitute y for 0 as the x-axis is just the line y=0. After doing this we find:

⇒ 4^x-64=0

add 64

4^x=64

The two methods to solve are either:

Figure out that 64=4^3 so:

4^3=4^x

and so the solution must be x=3 because of the rule: a^b=a^c, b=c

The other way is to use logarithms so

log_(4)(64)=x=3
