Answer:

x = -3.

Explanation:

First we need to simplify it to where we can have x on only one side, an everything else on the other. Subtract 2x from the left side and right side to get 2=x+5. Next to get x alone, subtract 5 from both sides. ( 2-5=x+5-5) We now have X = -3.
