What is the distance between (2.6) and (7,6)?

Explanation:

Since the y values are the same, they are already on the same vertical line. This means that we simply need to go horizontally in order to get the distance, which we could do two ways.

We could:

1.) Count the units on a graph

or

2.) Subtract the points to get our distance

The most simple and practical option would be 2, so when we subtract (7,6) from (2,6) we should get 5 units.

*Note*: you could also do it the other way around, and you would get -5, but of course, distance can't be negative so you would simply take the absolute value and still get 5
