You awaken to find yourself lying on the bare ground, dirty and injured. In the dim light, you can make out wreckage around you and surmise that you have survived a plane crash. Over the next few days, you wander the hot, humid area and find an amazing number of different plant and insect species. You are able to trap and eat several rodent size mammals, but do not see any larger mammals. Into what biome did your plane crash?

Answer:

tropical rainforest

Step-by-step explanation:

The tropical rainforest is a type of biome that is characterized by its hot, moist nature with all year round rainfall. It is associated for its dense canopies of vegetation that form three different layers.

The first layer of vegetation prevents much of the sunlight from reaching the ground. While the middle layer, is characterized by presence of vines, smaller trees, ferns, and palms.

The bottom layer or floor, however comprises of wet leaves and leaf litter.

However, the hot, moist atmosphere and all the dead plant material create the perfect conditions in which bacteria and other microorganisms can thrive.

Also, tropical rainforest are largely comprises of small, nocturnal, and inconspicuous mammals, such as Bats and rodents, which are the most abundant kinds of mammals in most rainforests.

Hence, in this case, this shows I am in tropical rainforest.
