Explanation:

Think of 10 as term 1.

in order to have an equation we need a term zero (a y-intercept or b in the y=mx+b equation.)

so subtract 9 from 10 (term 1) to get 1 (term zero)

so we now have term zero/ the y-intercept.

to formulate and equation you now need a slope.

so change in y (9) for every change in x(1)

so the slope is 9/1 because rise over run.

so the equation is y=9x+1

so then plug in 35 for x

y=9(35)+1

y=315+1

so the answer is 316

the 35th term is 316
