well they couldnt stand a chance to beat the us navy with there navy so they used there Air force they dameged many ships but they didnt attack the repair yards for the ships so the us navy could be up and running in a few months the us navy repair cost more then 2.1 million the attach happend on dec 7 1941. 1,177 crew members were killed 330 surived
