Answer:

Answer could be:

a) 5

b) 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer a) 5 = 1 rabbit + 2 monkeys + 2 parrots

Note: It can happen that all of the six elephants are seeing just 2 monkeys. But, if there are six elephants it doen't mean there are more than 2 monkeys.

Then if there are 2 monkeys, there must be 2 parrots since each monkey has a parrot.

Answer b) 25 = 1 rabbit + 12 monkeys + 12 parrots

Note: It can happen that each of the six elephants are seeing 2 different monkeys, if this is true, then there are 12 monkeys (because each elephant is seeing at 2 monkeys --> 6 x 2 = 12)

Then if there are 12 monkeys, there must be 12 parrots since each monkey has a parrot.
