Hot air balloon conductors only partially fill the balloon before they heat the gas. As the gas warms, it expands to fill the balloon. Who's law is this?

The temperature is 100 K

The temperature will be increased to 200K

Step 2: Calculate the new volume

V1/T1 = V2/T2

⇒with T1 = the initial temperature = 100 K

⇒with V2 = the new volume = TO BE DETERMINED

⇒with T2 = the increased temperature = 200 K

100 L / 100 K = V2 / 200 K

1 = V2 / 200

V2 = 1 * 200 = 200 L

This means when the initial temperature increases ( is doubled), the new volume will increase ( be doubled) as well.

This means when the balloon is partially filled with gas, after heating the volume of this gas will increase.
