In my opinion yes, children should have some privacy, at the same time you should see where the parent(s) is coming from because they just want to do whatever they can that's in their power to try and keep you safe which is why parents always want to know where you're at, who you’re talking to, and what you’re doing.

in my opinion, there should be rules set for privacy in homes between children and parents. the parents are older and have more authority over the children so maybe they will request more privacy but parents shouldn't invade children's privacy.
