Hi friend! Max's carton has a height of 6 inches with a base area of 12 inches squared. Tucker's carton has a height of 7 inches with a base area of 10 inches squared. How much more volume does Max's carton have than Tucker's? Explain how you know.

Answer: Max's carton is 2 cubic inches larger

Max:

Volume = 6 * 12 = 72 cubic inches

Tucker:

Volume = 7 * 10 = 70 cubic inches

72-70 = 2 cubic inches

Max's carton is 2 cubic inches larger
