Answer:

63.2

Explanation:

First, you can start by cutting the irregular shape to make regular shapes. From 2.8, cut horizontally across. Then, cut vertically down from the right of the 6 cm. Now you have a triangle with the dimensions 4.4 as the height, and 4 as the base. To find the area of the triangle, multiply 4.4 and 4, then divide by two, equaling 8.8. now, one of the rectangles has the dimensions 4.4 as the height and 6 as the base. multiply 6 and 4.4 to get 26.4. Now the dimensions of the other rectangle are 2.8 as the height and 10 as the base. multiply 2.8 and 10 to get 28. Add up your three areas and you will get 63.2.

sorry if I am hard to understand, I'm only in 7th grade- I'm two grades above my level in math, but not in explaining things. XD

My classmates say I make everything more complicated than it can be when I am helping them so just tell me if I need to explain it better.

Answer:

63.2

Explanation:

7.2*10+72 72-4.4*4*1/2 =72-8.8+63.2 because the dementions of the triangle missing is 4.4*4
