The y-intercept is (0, -2).

Explanation:

Since the slope is 3, we have to change that into it's inverse (-3) to find what y equals when x is zero.

Everytime we subtract 3 from y, we subtract 1 from x.

The next point (after (2, 4)) will be (1, 1) then (0, -2).
