Answer:

Therefore Ivan needs to sale 10,000 per month in order to get same monthly pay from the two offers.

Explanation:

Given that,

Ivan receives two offers for new job.

One offer is $2000 per month plus 10% commission on his sales.

The other offer $2400 per month plus 6% commission on his sales.

Let he needs to sell $x per month for the two offers to result in the same monthly pay.

10% of x= 0.10x

6% of x=0.06x

According to the problem,

2000+0.10x=2400+0.06x

⇒0.10x-0.06x=2400-2000

⇒0.04x=400

\Rightarrow x=(400)/(0.04)

⇒x=10,000

Therefore Ivan needs to sale 10,000 per month in order to get same monthly pay from the two offers.
