Answer:

1) It means be prepared for anything, even if it seems like nothing is going on and is going well- be prepared. It can always take a turn. OR you can say: Anytime you get something good or expect good you should prepare for foul too. ( 1 seemed better, idk your choice. )

2) If you have nothing to do in life and everything is going well then prepare for worse as it can happen anytime. ( like corona. )

Answer: To me this quote means that when life is going fairly well, you still have to be prepared just in case things go bad. & even if life is going good, it doesn’t mean things still won’t go bad in the future. I can apply it to my life because this is very good advice to follow. It’s a good quote to live by because it’s true, you always have to prepare yourself so you won’t be supieses for when life goes bad.
