Answer:

20 in³

Explanation:

Volume of 300 pages:

10 × 8 × 3/4

When the no. of pages change, only the thickness of the book changes:

Volume = 10 × 8 × ¼

= 20 in³

Answer:

20 inches cubed

Explanation:

The only thing that will change if we want to find the volume of 100 pages of the book will be the height. Previously for the 300 pages, the height was 3/4 inches. Now, however, it will be a third of that because 100 = 300/3. So, the new height will be: (3/4) / 3 = 1/4 inches.

The length of 10 inches and width of 8 inches will still be the same. The volume of a rectangular prism (the shape of the book) is:
V=lwh , where
l is the length, w is the width, and h is the height.

h = 1/4

w = 8

l = 10

V = 10 * 8 * (1/4) = 80/4 = 20 inches cubed

The volume is thus 20 inches cubed.

Hope this helps!
