The diffrences between ''the arrow and the song poem'' and ''the poison tree poem''

The Arrow and the Song
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I shot an arrow into the air.
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air.
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song.

Long, long afterward, in an oak,
I found the arrow still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

A Poison Tree
by William Blake

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole,
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning, glad, I see;
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

The first poem presents a man who has shot an arrow and is clueless as to where it has gone, and is in deep distraught when he finds his arrow has pierced his friends heart and he is now dead, the second presents a man who is in an argument with his friend and fears of all that might of happened to him or the friendship, but returns to his friend in rejoice that he is still alive and did not die in a fight with his friend.

Hope this helped!! :D
