Explanation:

here we have 4 expectations from 8 expectations from 2 spins.

But we have to multiply the outcomes of 4 each turn with 4 the second turn to see 16 outcomes.

For the first we have 1/4 and second we clearly have 3/4

We then add the outcomes 4 and multiply the bottom = 4/16

this = 1/4

Which is the same as subtraction.

1/2 - 1/4 = 1/4
