The length of the inclined plane AC = x = 8.6 ft

Explanation:

Height = AB = 5 ft

BC = 7 ft

Now length of inclined plane AC = x

Apply pythagores theorem for ΔABC


AC^(2) = AB^(2) + BC^(2) \\\\x^(2) = 5^(2) + 7^(2) \\


x^(2) = 74

x = 8.6 ft

Therefore the length of the inclined plane AC = x = 8.6 ft
