Explanation:

since 4 < a < 5, a= 4.5 and since 2 < b < 4, b=3

4.5/3(3) - 3/3(4.5)

then you can cross simplify and the 3s cancel out in the second half and the 4.5s cancel each other out leaving you with 1/3(3) which is 1/9
