We know that sin theta = opposite side/ hypotenuse for a right triangle

sin 45 = x /3

Multiply each side by 3

3 sin 45 = x/3 *3

3 sin 45 =x

sin 45 = sqrt(2)/2

3 * sqrt(2)/2 = x

3/2 sqrt(2) =x
