The distance between the Base of the building & the car is x = 83.29 ft

Given data

AB = Height of the building = 75 ft

BC = distance from the base of building to the car = x ft

Angle of depression = ∠ BAC = 48°

∠ ACB = 180 - 90 - 48 = 42°

From the Δ ABC


\tan 42 = (AB)/(BC)


\tan 42 = (75)/(x)

x = 83.29 ft

Therefore the distance between the Base of the building & the car is x = 83.29 ft
