we know that area is express as

Area = L × W .................1

here L is length and W is width

put here value we get

16 = L × W ...............2

and we know

L = 4W ( as given ) ...............3

so put that in equation 2 we get

16 = 4W × W

4W² 16

solve it we get

W = 2

so here put this value in equation 3 we get

L = 4 × 2

L = 8

so the dimensions of the seat are 2 feet and 8 feet
