Answer:

A: (-1,0)

B: (1,1)

C: (5,3)

(0,½)

(7,5) doesn't lie on the line

Explanation:

Slope: (3-1)/(5-1) = ½

y = ½x + c

0 = ½(-1) + c

c = ½

y = ½x + ½

(0,½) is on the line

y = ½x + ½

Check for (7,5)

5 = 7/2 + 1/2

5 = 4 is a false statement

Answer:

see below

Explanation:

a A (-1,0) B (1,1) C (5,3)

Remember the x coordinate is horizontal and the y coordinate is vertical

b We notice that we go over 2 and up 1

another point would be (5+2, 3+1) = (7,4)

We could also go to the left 2 and down 1

a second point would be (-1 -2, 0-1) = (-3, -1)

c The point (7,5) is not on the line. We found that the point (7,4) is on the line. There is only one point at each x coordinate on the line and it is at (7,4)
