How did the Birth of a Nation affect race relations in the South?

Answer:

Birth of a nation actually revived the kkk, the movie "depicted the Ku Klux Klan as valiant saviors of a post-war South ravaged by Northern carpetbaggers and immoral freed blacks." So, with that support, the kkk obviously would have had a very negative effect on those of different races.
