Explanation:

When breaking it up into the rectangle and two triangles you automatically know a couple of things. First the height is 6 as it was given to you by the picture. We also know that the top of the rectangle is 4 and the sides are 6. The whole trapezoid's base is 8 so we subtract the 4 from it to get 4 and divide that by 2 for the two triangles to get that the height of the triangles is 6 and the base is 2.
