Answer:

Quarantine is necessary for public health as we should be treating the corona virus as something that we already have, and we need to do anything we can to prevent further spread, because honestly we may actually have the virus and we just don't know. If we all abandoned quarantine the virus would spread a lot further and a lot quicker. Also don't just think about catching the virus yourself, think what could happen if you get it and bring it home to your family, who could then spread it further.

Furthermore if we stay in quarantine we are not only reducing the risk of us catching the virus, but we are also helping those who are working for us to help develop a cure or vaccination, if we all stayed in quarantine, reducing the number of new cases, it could help balance the amount of patients in hospitals so that they can treat more patients instead of tending to new ones.

Answer:

Many would say that quarantine is necessary, but some people think it is ridiculous. While staying healthy and safe is necessary, the protocol that some governors are taking may be a bit extreme. Yes, reducing your amount of contact with people might be a good idea, but you also have to take into consideration that not everyone views quarantine seriously. While many are self isolating, others are choosing this time to go out and do things that are not essential to their needs. The question we have to ask ourselves is "how long are we willing to stay put inside our houses?" We also have to remember that the coronavirus has caused less people to die than the flu each year-and we don't quarantine when we have the flu. So, in conclusion, stay away from people, wash your hands, and don't touch your face...but quarantine is not extremely necessary.
